Aim
This course is designed to give delegates an appreciation of the fundamentals of good Health & Safety at Work practice together with knowledge of the relevant regulations and guidance.

Who should attend
Health & Safety is everybody’s responsibility. The course is designed for “shop-floor” personnel and supervisors/managers alike. The course content can also be modified to reflect prior knowledge and specific hazards in your workplace.

  • Risks, precautions and isolation
  • First Aid, Arrangements, facilities & personnel

  • Regulations, duties of the employer/employee, enforcement officers. Health & safety act 1974
Teaching strategies & methods
The course combines tutorials & demonstrations with student centered methods such as groupwork, case studies, question & answer sessions. This course is assessed through a short question paper.
