Aim
To give candidates a solid appreciation of the need for risk assessments of Visual Display unit workstations and to equip candidates with knowledge of the Display Screen Equipment Regulations.

Who should attend
All employees who work with display screen equipment, (DSE) and Visual Display Units (VDU). Managers & supervisors also need to have the knowledge & skills to carry out risk assessments of DSE.

Benefits
The course will enable employers & employees to minimise any risks arising from the use of VDUs and other display screen equipment used at work. Candidates will be able to carry out a risk assessment of a VDU and pinpoint risks to eyesight, joints and general health.

Teaching strategies & methods
The course combines tutorials & demonstrations with student centered methods such as groupwork, case studies, question & answer sessions, syndicate work with VDU risk assessment.
