Aim
To give candidates a solid appreciation of Fire hazards, prevention and control methods and a working background to The Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997. Candidates will have the chance to use fire extinguishers in a controlled environment and have practice in formulating fire procedures.
Who should attend
Organisations concerned that their staff should have training to use fire fighting equipment and any workplace that uses, stores, or supplies flammable materials should consider this course. It is a HSE requirement that staff should know what precautionary measures can be made to prevent fire and what skills and equipment is available should the need arise.
Benefits
Once individuals are trained in the dangers associated with Fire and what equipment is available for their use, fire hazards become controllable.
